Student Travel
Grant
The 11th
International Conference on Radiation Shielding (ICRS-11) is pleased to
announce the limited availability of travel grants for students and
young scientists wishing to attend the meeting in April 2008. Grants are
in the amount of $500, and may be applied to students’ travel, lodging,
meeting registration, and meals. To be eligible for this award a student
must be an undergraduate or graduate student in nuclear or radiological
engineering, health physics, medical physics, a related field or be a
recent graduate (within 3 years) and working in a field dealing with
radiation shielding or shielding applications.

Applications for
travel grants must be submitted electronically no later than November 1,
2007. Award winners will be notified by January 1, 2008. Recipients of
this award are an important part of the success of this conference and
all eligible persons are encouraged to apply for these grants. If for
any reason an applicant cannot attend the meeting, they are asked to
notify the student chair, Sarah Brashear, as soon as possible either
before or after an award notice is received. Interested persons should
fill in the form below and send it to Sarah Brashear (sarah.brashear@gmail.com).
