Abstract Submission
Instructions To Authors
Contributors are invited to
submit abstracts on the conference topics as listed above. The abstracts
should contain sufficient detail to allow the technical merit of the
paper to be judged and assigned to the appropriate session. The Technical Program
Committee will decide whether the paper will be presented at a technical
session. Authors will be notified electronically of acceptance of papers
by December 15, 2007.
An abstract book will
be distributed at the conference registration desk.
Content
Abstracts may
cover technical accomplishments, but should represent information that
has not been previously reported or published.
Abstract Format
The abstract should
have no more than 250 words and should be structured using the following
subheadings: Purpose, Methods and Materials, Results, and Conclusions.
The abstract should reflect the content of the article and include the
purpose of the study, the experimental design, the most important
results, and an interpretation of the data, including the conclusion and
any implications derived from the results.
Formatted abstracts may be
uploaded in MS Word or PDF format. Please include special formatting
(superscripts, subscripts, symbols, etc.) where appropriate.

How To Submit an Abstract for
Review
ICRS-11 & RPSD
2008 will be using the MyReview web-based conference management
system for abstract submission and review.
You will be required to
fill in a form with the abstract information as well as upload a
formatted version of the abstract. The information on the form will be
used during the review process. The uploaded file will be printed in the
abstract book to be distributed at the conference registration desk.
The information on the
form and the formatted version of the abstract should be the same.
Simply, copy and paste the abstract text from your file into the text
box. Do not be concerned about special formatting (superscripts,
subscripts, symbols, etc.) in the text box.
You will be given a
unique Paper ID and Password for each abstract submission. You will use
this information to access the system if modifications to your
submission are necessary.
- Under the Authors menu on the Abstract Submission and Review
page select
"Submit an Abstract" to access the system. Fill in the form,
attach your file and press the 'Submit' button. Be sure to select
the appropriate Topic for your abstract. You will receive a message
on the screen as well as an email when your submission has been
successfully stored in the system. If you are submitting multiple
abstracts, you will need to repeat this step for each abstract
submission.
- Once an abstract has been submitted, you can access the system
to make changes to your submission by selecting
"Modify an Abstract" under the
Authors menu on the
Abstract Submission and Review page. You will need your Paper
ID and Password for the abstract that you wish to modify. Please
note that each time you access the system, you will be required to
re-attach your file for your modifications to be saved.
The deadline for submitting an abstract has been extended to October
22, 2007.

It is recommended that speakers allow at least 3 minutes of the allotted
time for questions.

expected to be given using Microsoft Power Point. All presentations will be
given from a conference laptop. Speakers must download the latest version of
their slides onto the conference computers at least one day before their
presentation in the speaker ready room (location to be announced). Special

be assigned to a day. At least one of the authors must be present beside
the poster during the poster sessions for that day.
Posters should be mounted
on Sunday or Monday morning and should remain on the panel during the
entire week.
Poster Rapporteur
In order to attract more attention to the poster presentations, each
poster will be announced by a rapporteur after the morning Plenary
Session on the day of presentation. This announcement will be performed
with one Power Point slide per poster, which should be provided by the
authors.
The slide should contain the title, names of the author(s) and the
affiliation(s) as well as a brief statement of the motivation and main
results. This information will be read by the rapporteur. A
template is provided here as a
guide. You may use any background, text color and graphics that will
entice participants to visit your full poster.
In the 'Notes Page', a feature included in PowerPoint, one can add
information for the rapporteur. Please keep in mind that the rapporteur
will spend only 30 seconds per poster.
All slides must downloaded onto the conference computers at least one
